Q) What´s your role at TK-Industries?
A) I am CEO of TK-Industries. We are doing noncrimp carbon fiber fabric from industrial type carbon fiber tows. It is used for non-aerospace applications – Automotive, Wind Energy, Marine and many other applications which requesting high quality fabric with economy prices.

Q) Whats your role with Kaiser Stähler Executive Search Company?
A) I am CEO of Kaiser Stähler, an international network of consultants, specialized in recruiting management and specialist functions engineers in manufacturing and chemical industry oriented also in aluminum und composites industry. We are exhibitor at COMPOSITES EUROPE and ALUMINIUM since 2009.

Q) What do you think is the challenge for composites and aluminum industry?
A) Position the companies as branded employers in a highly competitive environment.
The war for talents has started. Especially in the field of high qualified engineers. In marketing you´re looking how to approach your international clients, same should be for your employees – even if you are an European company you should recruit on a worldwide base, social networks and worldwide acting database will help in this respect.

Rainer Rucks is the Managing Director of Rucks Maschinenbau GmbH.

RR: Rainer Rucks

CE: Could you give us a quick overview of Rucks Maschinenbau GmbH?

RR: RUCKS is specialised in the individual production of customised presses for many varying applications. Its production range extends from small laboratory presses to complex production lines. RUCKS covers the entire value added chain, from the design  to the production and commissioning and services. RUCKS employees about 30 highly qualified people.

CE: What kind of project are you working on right now?

RR: Right now we are erecting a new production hall.  It will be 15m in height with a 50t crane. Reason for that enlargement was the increasing demand of huge composite press systems, especially for HP RTM applications.

CE: What kind of experience does your company have working with composites?

RR: RUCKS has more than 50 years of experience in the production of customized press systems for composite applications. The first composite presses were sold to VEB Sachsenring (producer of the car “Trabant”). Nowadays, RUCKS supplies its machines to customers which need individual HP RTM-, Thermoform- or Compression press solutions.

CE: How important is COMPOSITES EUROPE for your company?

RR: Composite Europe is important for us because more and more of our customers of are from that segment.
