CE: Could you give us a quick overview of Rucks Maschinenbau GmbH?
RR: RUCKS is specialised in the individual production of customised presses for many varying applications. Its production range extends from small laboratory presses to complex production lines. RUCKS covers the entire value added chain, from the design to the production and commissioning and services. RUCKS employees about 30 highly qualified people.
CE: What kind of project are you working on right now?
RR: Right now we are erecting a new production hall. It will be 15m in height with a 50t crane. Reason for that enlargement was the increasing demand of huge composite press systems, especially for HP RTM applications.
CE: What kind of experience does your company have working with composites?
RR: RUCKS has more than 50 years of experience in the production of customized press systems for composite applications. The first composite presses were sold to VEB Sachsenring (producer of the car “Trabant”). Nowadays, RUCKS supplies its machines to customers which need individual HP RTM-, Thermoform- or Compression press solutions.
CE: How important is COMPOSITES EUROPE for your company?
RR: Composite Europe is important for us because more and more of our customers of are from that segment.
